Schedule Tribe category to get one-time criteria relaxation

The Chhattisgarh Council of Ministers on Wednesday decided to provide one-time relaxation in the prescribed criteria of height and chest to candidates for the recruitment of youth belonging to the Scheduled Tribe category of the state in Chhattisgarh Police.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai chaired the meeting at Secretariat (Mahanadi Bhawan), Nava Raipur on Wednesday.

In the direct recruitment process of Subedar, Sub Inspector Cadre, Platoon Commander in Chhattisgarh Police, the minimum height prescribed in the year 2024 is 163 cm and the chest without expansion is 78 cm and 83 cm when expanded. It has been decided to give relaxation only once for male candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe category.
