ADIEUI| Free Press Journal Readers pay homage to Ratan Naval Tata
Sir, you will always live in our hearts
In the passing of Ratan Tata we have lost a human being par excellence. A colossus among the world renowned industrialists and philanthropists, what made him stand tall among all of them is that he was humility personified. To sum up Ratan Tata, I wish to borrow few immortal lines from Mark Antony's funeral oration in Shakespeare's 'Julius Caesar':

His life was gentle; and the elements So mixed in him that Nature might stand up And say to all the world 'This was a man!'

TS. Fernando, Chennai

I am too "aam" (common) an "aadmi" (man) to write words that will do justice to Ratan Tata, India's business icon and philanthropist, who bid adieu to this world on Wednesday. Ratan Tata's life and work is mirrored in this short poem by John Wesley, an English theologian and evangelist of the 18th century. "Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can.”

Avinash Godboley, Dewas

Ratan Tata's ethics and philanthropic activities made him one of the most popular Indians ever. He supported research and improvements in the field of education, medicine, and rural development. He will be remembered for his immense contribution in establishing a number of hospitals and research centres that helped advance cancer care. He was a great visionary and was committed to make India a self-reliant nation. Even in the evening of his life, plan to build India's first indigenous semi-conductor manufacturing facility in Assam was announced. He was truly a ratna of the nation. The Modi Government must consider Maharashtra government's request to confer on him Bharat Ratna posthumously.

Manoj Parashar, Ghaziabad
