The phase one of the city's maiden underground Metro - Line 3 or Aqua Line - from Aarey Colony-Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road to the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) is likely to start by the first week of October. A special run was organised for journalists on Tuesday.
The tentative date was announced by Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (MMRCL) Managing Director Ashwini Bhide, while she was speaking to media persons. Fares will range between Rs10 and Rs50 depending on the distance. The maximum ticket cost will increase once the second phase between the BKC and Cuffe Parade gets operational.
