'Will not do any personal work of Yadavs, Muslims'

Newly elected JD(U) MP Devesh Chandra Thakur on Monday courted controversy by commenting that he would offer sweets and tea to Yadavs and Muslims visiting his residence but would not do their ‘personal work’ since they did not cast their votes in his favour in Lok Sabha election.

Thakur who had earlier said that he would not do any work of Yadavs and Muslims toned down his statement and said that he would do their work, which was in the interest of common people but would not do their personal work.

“Visit my residence, eat sweets and tea but I will not do your personal work,” he remarked while referring to Yadavs and Muslims of his constituency.
