RISING boxing prospect Connor Adaway said he wants to make a 'statement' which will boost his career ambitions, after being invited on to the bill at a professional show in Torquay next month.
Adaway, younger brother of veteran Chris, wants a statement victory when he climbs through the ropes at the Riviera International Centre on Saturday, September 14.
He will be part of the Riviera Rumble show, which is being staged by Midlands' promoter Errol Johnson under his Black Country Boxing label.
Ben Andrews and Sam Smith are also pencilled in for the show.
Adaway already has two wins under his belt this year, including a notable win in the south of France in a top-of-the-bill contest in Le Cannet, outside Nice.
