A BLOCK of student flats in Plymouth has gone on the market for at least £5m.
The lease of the 90-room St Augustine's House, on Alexandra Road, which is 98% let for the 2024/25 academic year, is for sale.
The block was built, specifically for students, in 2013 on the site of Mutley's demolished St Augustine's Church. The Exeter Diocesan Board of Finance Ltd still owns the freehold but the unexpired 132-year lease was bought by the Midlands-based company SIG St Augustine Ltd for £3.8m just four years ago.
That was after a previous leaseholder, the now dissolved St Augustine's (Ply) Ltd, tried to turn the five-storey building into a hotel.
