A BOXING centre in Plympton has opened its doors to the local community.
The Hillcrest Centre, a registered Community Interest Company (CIC), is not for profit and aims to provide a range of activities and initiatives designed to benefit the community.
Run by Carl and Sarah Goldsborough and Lauren and Gavin Bolger along with a team of dedicated volunteers, the centre is a labour of love for all those involved.
Among the plans in the pipeline are catering courses, budget cooking classes, a community cafe, boxing sessions, and specially adapted sessions for neurodivergent individuals.
The aim is to help them feel included in society. Other initiatives include a food bank, community fridge, craft fairs, and children's parties.
