TWO hundred people marched in Plymouth city centre on Saturday in support of innocent civilians in Palestine and calling for an end to the siege of the Gaza Strip by Israeli forces.
This follows two weeks of bombardment of enclosed territory by Israeli fighter planes and rockets after armed Palestinian fighters linked to the Hamas governing body attacked and killed more than 1,300 Israelis on October 7.
The Plymouth Branch of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, and the Plymouth Trades Union Council supported a rally on Saturday October 14 and the march across Plymouth City Centre last weekend. Another rally is planned for this Saturday October 28 at noon at the Place de Brest, Armada Way, Plymouth.
The Palestine Solidarity Campaign reports that more than 300,000 marched in London at the weekend, and has called another national protest next week.
