THE search is on to find a remarkable Plymouth person, worthy of the Plymouth Waterfront Partnership’s (PWP) ‘Community Hero Award’.

Community 'hero' to switch on the lights

Nominations are now open for the annual award, which aims to recognise individuals or organisations that have made an exceptional contribution to the Plymouth waterfront community.

The winner of the award is given the honour of switching on the Barbican Christmas Lights. Last year Professor Jacqui Stedmon was the community hero, and this year’s event will continue to raise funds for Jeremiah’s Journey.
