PLYMOUTH Argyle goalkeeper and two-time player-of-the-year Mike Cooper is back in contention for a first team place after more than eight months out of action.
Cooper is 'available for selection' for the Championship club according to manager Steven Schumacher after ticking the last box in his rehabilitation from a torn anterior cruciate ligament knee injury. That was by playing the whole of a behindclosed-doors game against Torquay United last week.
Summer signing Conor Hazard has started all 11 Championship matches for the Pilgrims this season while Callum Burton played in both Carabao Cup ties. Now Cooper, who suffered his serious injury against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on February 4, can be added to the goalkeeper competition.
