Dartmoor gets EV charge points

CHARGING points for electric vehicles (EVS) are to be installed at a number of locations on Dartmoor and paid for by BMW, to encourage more zero-emission journeys.

Six new charging points, which can each power up two vehicles, have been installed at three car parks and funded by BMW UK as part of its Recharge in Nature partnership with UK National Parks.

Charging points have been installed at Postbridge Visitor Centre Car Park, Princetown Visitor Centre Car Park and Meldon Reservoir Car Park and are available to anyone.

The partnership has already seen 33 chargers installed in National Parks across the UK, with chargers in all 15 of the National Parks set to be installed before the end of the three-year deal.
