Former Plymstock Secondary School pupil Dawson, 30, a bronze medallist at the 2020 Games in Tokyo, will once again compete in the Menâs Eight, where his boat will again be strongly tipped to be in medal contention.
The team are heading to Paris in good form as well having won gold at the World Cup I in Varese, Italy, by beating the Netherlands in April and the World Cup II in Lucerne. Dawson and co pipped the United States to the gold medal and this followed on from gold at the European Championships in Szeged, Hungary, where they pipped reigning Olympic champions Germany.
