A DISTRESSED Plymouth woman whose ‘little princess’ cat was hit and killed by a car last weekend is concerned speeding drivers are using a temporary new diversion as a ‘rat run’ – and fears a child could be next.
Louise Leavers claims Springfield Road, in Elburton, has been hit by speeding drivers, after Wales and West Utilities shut off part of it for three months of gas works.
Louise, aged 48, lives on the corner of Springfield Close and Springfield Road, and was left devastated at the weekend after her two-year-old black moggie, Beryl, was hit by a car and ‘left on a wall’. Since then, another cat has been hit and killed and Louise fears ‘nothing will be done’ until it’s too late.
