PLYMOUTH PARKWAY……..........1
WALTON AND HERSHAM….........2
AFTER last week’s 4-1 FA Cup win against Baffins Milton Rovers, Plymouth Parkway returned to league action against second-placed Walton and Hersham, but were unable to register a first league win of the season going down to an unfortunate 2-1 defeat.
Two changes were made with Ewan Griffiths, recently signed on loan from Cardiff City, making his debut in goal in place of Luke McCormick and Ryan Brett returning in place of the unavailable Callum Hall.
The game started in heavy drizzle with Parkway making the early running and on five minutes, a Matt Wright near post header was saved low down by visiting goalkeeper Jos Barker after good build up play along the left between Rio Garside and Dylan Jones.
The game was being played at a lively pace with both sides moving the ball well, but Parkway gradually began to take control of the game by dominating possession with the Garside brothers, Mitch Beardmore and Brett prompting and probing from midfield.
