PLYMOUTH has agreed a deal with a major events firm which aims to see the city once again play host to a largescale music festival – which could remain an annual event for up to a decade. The new event, currently named “Summer Sessions”, expects to see the stunning Hoe awash with thousands of music fans for an epic four-day festival.
Plymouth City Council has joined with events company Live Nation to bring the best of rock and pop and big names to Plymouth next year – and if popular it will become a regular fixture in Britain’s Ocean City.
In April this year the One Big Summer music festival announced it would have to be cancelled as organisers cited the cost-of-living crisis. The 2023 summer festival would have run over two days, as it had in 2022.
