Henderson delighted as his Lambs bounce back in style

STUART Henderson was not a happy man when his side crashed to a 4-1 home defeat to Helston Athletic last midweek, but he was delighted with their response at the weekend in bouncing back with a fine 2-0 win over Thatcham Town at Langsford Park.

It is not often that the Lambs boss is as critical as he was last week, but it is often justified and that was the case when the Cornishmen won with such ease against his team last week.

But while many non-negotiables may have been missing against Helston, they were there in abundance as goals from Liam Prynn and Harry French got Tavi back on track. Tonight, he will be wanting more of the same when they return to action at Bishops Cleeve.

"It was a great response by the lads," Henderson said. "It wasn't the prettiest of games, but everything I questioned on Tuesday night desire, effort, work-rate, winning first balls, winning second balls was there in abundance.

"We defended really well and were disciplined, we had a good shape about us. I thought they were a good side and had some good moments, but we looked solid - the opposite of what we looked on Tuesday.
