Hobbs convinced wins will come for Parkway

PLYMOUTH Parkway manager Lee Hobbs feels it is a matter of time before his side find that elusive win after seeing their unbeaten run in the Southern League Premier extend to four games with a 1-1 draw at home to Basingstoke Town on Saturday.

After Callum Hall's 11th minute strike was cancelled out almost immediately by George Reid, Hobbs felt his side did more than enough to go on and win the game, but that problem of scoring goals was again their downfall in front of 426 spectators at Bolitho Park.

Parkway have not won since a 5-0 thrashing of Dorchester Town on September 26 with three successive draws and an FA Trophy defeat to AFC Totton thrown in there as well. In each game, Parkway have only managed one goal and it is no secret that Hobbs is desperate to bring in a proven striker.

"Picking up points at Winchester and Merthyr and destroying Dorchester - and the getting another point here, obviously we'd like to have had all three is pleasing," he said. "It would have been nice to top off the block of fixtures with three points, but the squad is healthy and looking good, we have a way of playing now.
