Hobbs demands more of the same from Parkway

LEE Hobbs could not have been any prouder of his players, as they thrashed Hungerford Town 6-2 on Saturday, but entering a run of two games a week now for the foreseeable future, he knows he has to be clever with team selections.

In normal circumstances, there would be little reason for Hobbs to mix things up for the long trek to Hayes & Yeading tonight, after goals by Jack Crago (2), Callum Hall (2), Reece Thomson and Ryan Lane saw Parkway avenge a 7-0 hammering at Hungerford on the opening day of the season. But he is wary of burnout, having just played the first match of four scheduled in the next 15 days.

"We were outstanding on Saturday. We were limited with what we had available, but credit to the lads that were available because, to a man, they were faultless. They outworked, out-ran, out-fought and outplayed Hungerford and were very worthy of that scoreline," Hobbs said.

"We are confident and I think we are second in the form table right now. We are scoring goals, we haven't conceded many goals and we have a couple of players returning tomorrow which means we are going up there full strength.
