AN investigation has begun involving a luxury housing development in Plymouth after a property developer went bust leaving unpaid debts.
Liquidators are probing issues at Plympton’s plush Village Heights development following the collapse of A&P Property Developers Ltd in 2022.
The company, which developed the Village Heights homes, went belly up owing thousands of pounds to Plymouth City Council but left no assets to pay the debt.
However, liquidators at Begbies Traynor, in London, are now focusing attention on a related company, Village Heights Management Ltd, set up to manage the shared land at the Village Heights development, off Colebrook Road, where homes have been advertised for more than £850,000,
The liquidators, in a document newly filed at Companies House, said A&P Property Developers is the main shareholder in the management firm. It said ownership of Village Heights Management Ltd should have passed to the property holders and is now subject to a dispute.
