Memorial night for Mike, who 'died too young'

A PLYMOUTH man who “died too young” is being remembered at a charity night on Sunday evening.

The event will be held at Walkabout on Union Street and as well as being a tribute night it will also raise money for the Epilepsy Society.

Mike Roberts, who was 38, collapsed on July 19. Attempts to resuscitate him failed and Mike – who suffered from epilepsy and seizures – was pronounced dead at 11am the same day.

He had worked as a house cleaner at Drake Circus Shopping Centre, chatting to many people who he got to know well.

His family said Mike had a huge circle of friends, and one of them, Adrian Kelly is putting on a charitable event in his memory.

Adrian, 44, said: “Mike was one of my best mates, I’d known him for 12 years.
