Owner bites back as dog caught in tail of injustice

THE Royal Mail has apologised to a Plymouth woman after it wrongly accused her dog of attacking a postal worker.

Mrs G, who did not wish to be named, admitted the incident left her shaken at the thought of what could have happened to her beloved pet as a result. She explained that she received a strongly-worded letter from the postal service on November 7, suggesting her French bulldog, Luna, had bitten the postlady that delivers to her house in Whitleigh.

The letter stated that deliveries to her address would be suspended with immediate effect as a result, and that she would need to take measures to guarantee the safety of postal workers.

“I read the letter feeling extremely sick that my dog had bitten the postlady,” Mrs G told The Herald. “Having been the victim of a savage dog attack as a child, I was immediately worried about what my dog had done to this person.
