HITTAKER IS SO CRUCIAL TO PILGRIMS’ ATTACKING PLAY
CHRIS ERRINGTON
PART OF THE PLANS

MORGAN Whittaker remains a major part of Plymouth Argyle's attacking play even though opposing teams are now well aware of the threat he provides, director of football Neil Dewsnip has declared.

Dewsnip believes Whittaker's lastgasp headed goal in the 2-1 Championship win against Blackburn Rovers at Home Park before the international break was an example of how the 23-year-old is working out other scoring methods rather than relying on his trademark left-foot shots from outside the penalty area.

Whittaker netted 20 times for Argyle in all competitions last season - 19 in the Championship - but his header in the victory over was just his second goal of the current campaign.
