PLYMOUTH residents are being encouraged to take part in a sponsored 3km walk to raise funds for the Royal British Legionâs (RBL) Poppy Appeal in 2024.
The RBL Poppy Walk will take place in the cityâs Central Park on Saturday, November 9. Registration opens at 10am, ahead of a short family-friendly walk which starts at 11am, following a moment of Remembrance.
Funds raised from the Poppy Walks â which are being held across UK cities â will help veterans, those serving and their families with support for life â whatever the need, wherever itâs needed. This can include expert advice and practical support, with everything from recovery from injury to housing, getting back into work or even the cost-of-living crisis.
