PLYMOUTH City Council has increased its pothole repairs by nearly a third, according to new figures. A Freedom of Information Request made by the Reach Data Unit to every local authority in the country noted that over the last three years, some councils have pulled out all the stops to fill in the potholes, while others appear to have lost the battle and are leaving their roads with holes.
Earlier this month The Herald reported on a Plymouth City Council cabinet meeting where finance Cllr Mark Lowry (Lab, Southway) announced they would secure additional funds for pothole repairs.
