Mark Rodriguez, aged 54 appeared at Plymouth Crown Court to be sentenced for a burglary which took place on September 11 this year. The court heard that Rodgriguez, who lives in Alma Road, targeted another property in the same street.
Police had been alerted to the incident after the female victim told them she had come home to her flat and on reaching the door encountered Rodriguez leaving the block, carrying an orange paper-boy type bag.
Not recognising him she asked him who he was.
He replied “I’m the manager, I’m the manager” before he scuttled off towards the communal door and out into the street.
