A PLYMOUTH man is racing ahead with his bid to raise £100,000 by running all of the world's 'Big Six' marathons, after completing the Chicago and New York Marathons in November.
So far Matthew Jeffery has raised £15,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, Cancer Research UK and the American Cancer Society.
In the past year, Matthew has ticked off four of the most iconic marathons in the running world London, Berlin, Chicago and New York - despite going through treatment for thyroid cancer since his diagnosis two and a half years ago.
He has chosen to take on the huge fundraising challenge for cancer charities, including Macmillan Cancer Support, following the support he has received at the Mustard Tree Macmillan Cancer Support Centre, based at Derriford Hospital, University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust.
