STRICTLY Come Dancing sensation Angela Rippon has said her experience on the BBC One show is bringing her unbridled joy and proving age is just a number.
The Plymouth-born star dazzled on the dance floor in a routine that defied age – and gravity – in last Saturday’s opening episode, and her appearance tonight will be hotly anticipated.
Her risque but effortless leg raise was a nod to her star turn on the Morecambe & Wise Show in 1976.
Partnered by Kai Widdrington, 28, Angela said: “I am in the studio six hours a day and it’s a physical effort, but I am loving every second of it and learning so much. It’s great for the body and great for the mind and the whole thing is bringing me unbridled joy.
