WAYNE Rooney has revealed there have been some very long meetings between him and his Plymouth Argyle players after two heavy backto-back away defeats and that they are 'absolutely 100 per cent together! The Pilgrims lost 6-1 to Norwich City before slumping to a 4-0 defeat at Bristol City last Saturday, after which he stated his side had showed 'a real lack of character and lack of fight' after conceding the first goal in the 58th minute.
Rooney also called the performance and result 'a big embarrassment' and declared his players had 'completely collapsed!
Asked during a Press conference at Home Park, whether he had any regrets over the language he used, Rooney replied: "None".
The under-pressure head coach went on: "The players know, and I have spoke to the players on a daily basis, that I'm here with them. I'm fully behind them players.
"I'm sure the players would be the first to put their hands up and say the last few games haven't been good enough, so I'm saying what the players are saying themselves.
"In my opinion, it's not a big thing.
