AS ideas go, it has proved to be something of a banger. A Plymouth microbrewery has become the city’s newest destination for foodies by serving up delicious German bratwurst with a fine range of tastebudtingling toppings.
Bosses at Bulletproof Brewing Co have begun offering Teutonic sausages at their Mutley Plain tap haus, home of traditional German craft lagers. The meaty treats are already proving a hit with punters – and even attracting people who are primarily attracted by the grub.
“It’s going really well,” said company co-founder, Paddy Lawrence, “and it’s bringing in different customers, a clientele that comes for food and then a drink, rather than the other way around.
“We have seven different dogs and lots of dunks, with sides too. We’re looking to see what is most popular and trying some different things.”
