The teenager woke up to find that her first song to be released had become a massive hit. Freya Rendell, from Plympton, had no idea that her track, Petty White Lies, was set to be given air time on three BBC shows, including BBC Introducing on Radio 1.
Going by the name of Frey, the talented teenager became an overnight internet sensation when her song was played on national radio - and again when she posted a video of her showing her parents that she was on BBC Introducing.

UK house sales fell in November
House sales slipped back in November, compared with October, but were higher than the same month a year earlier, according to HMRC figures. Across the UK, 92,640 property sales were recorded in November 2024 - 8% lower than the previous month but 13% up on November 2023.
