THE passing ability of goalkeeper Dan Grimshaw is a big help for Plymouth Argyle with the way Wayne Rooney wants his side to play, Director of football Neil Dewsnip has declared.
While Grimshaw has proved to be a good shot-stopper, the feature of performances which has prompted most debate among the Green Army has been his distribution of the ball with his feet. The 26-year-old joined the Pilgrims from League One outfit Blackpool in late August after the transfer of Michael Cooper for an initial £2 million, plus add-ons, to Sheffield United.
Conor Hazard had started the Championship campaign as Argyle's 'keeper but suffered an ankle ligament injury in the closing seconds of the 1-0 defeat by Stoke City at Home Park on August 31 and a subsequent operation will rule him out of action until late November.
