ALL the research done by Callum Burton and his Plymouth Argyle goalkeeping coach Darren Behcet on Cheltenham Town penalty taking paid off as the Pilgrims clinched a place in the Papa Johns Trophy final in dramatic fashion.
The Pilgrims came out on top 3-2 in the penalty shoot-out after the semi-final ended in a 1-1 draw, with Burton saving three of Cheltenham's spot kicks.
Burton also went the right way for the other two penalties and it was not by chance that the 26-year-old was able to do that five times in a row.
It was because he and Behcet had carefully studied the potential penalty takers before the semi-final, as the Argyle goalkeeping department does in advance of every match.
