PLYMOUTH Argyle's failure to come up with any shots on target in the midweek defeat against West Bromwich Albion came after they had just one during the 2-0 home defeat by second-placed Leeds United last Saturday.
It is a worrying statistic for the usually free-flowing Pilgrims, for whom goals have not been in short supply so far this season.
On that lack of goal threat in their last two games, head coach Ian Foster said: "I don't think it's just they are two good teams. I think you have to factor in the volume of games as well.
"It's not just a case of us coming up against really high level of opposition which make it difficult for you to get into the final third with any degree of quality. West Bromwich Albion are one of the best defensive teams of the division and we are playing them on the back of all those games.
