A MUM pregnant with twins has spoken of the horror watching her partner 'stop breathing' after being crushed between a car and his van.
Self employed trader Jamie Elliott, 32, has been left mostly wheelchair bound and unable to work after being hit by a car after he got out of his van.
His fiancee Roxy Ward, 34, was in the passenger seat and watched the full trauma unfold. She said Jamie had to be 'brought back to life' via CPR as he lay unresponsive on the road in Plymouth, Devon, and faces a lengthy recovery.
A neighbour has now set up a GoFundMe appeal to help support the couple that has already raised £3.5k.
Roxy said Jamie had just picked her up from work and was outside his van when he was hit by a car and crushed up against it.
She said: "I witnessed it all. It was pretty traumatic but all happened so quickly. I was in the passenger seat and couldn't stop screaming. It was such a fast horrible episode.
