Charles overruled Camilla to go public on ill health.

The King first announced that he was undergoing treatment for a benign prostate condition in January. In February, it was announced that the 75-year-old had been diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer, which had been discovered during the procedure. A statement from Buckingham Palace said: “No further details are being shared at this stage, except to confirm that His Majesty does not have prostate cancer.”

The King was forced to take a temporary step back from public facing duties and it was reported that he would be undertaking a reduced schedule when he returned to work at the end of April.
