The Princess Royal, 73, was walking on her Gatcombe Park estate on Sunday evening when the incident happened. Emergency services were despatched to the Gloucestershire estate and, after medical care at the scene, the princess was transferred to Southmead Hospital in Bristol in the company of her husband, Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence, for treatment.
