Woman's chopped body found in fridge in Bengaluru

IN one of the most chilling murders that the city witnessed in the recent past that bears resemblance to Delhi's Shradda Walker murder, the body of a 29-year-old Mahalakshmi chopped into 28 pieces was found stuffed inside a single door 165 litre refrigerator at her single bedroom house in Vyalikaval police station limits on Saturday afternoon.

The house is located on the first floor of a three-storeyed building on the 6th cross, Pipe Line Road near Veeranna Bhavan in Vyalikaval. She married Hemanth Das five years ago and was staying alone after separating from her him from early this year. Her four-year-old daughter was also staying with Das. Once every fortnight, Das would come with his daughter to the victim's house so that she can spend time with the latter. Das is working at a mobile accessories shop at Nelamangala and is staying along with his parents.
