Launched in 2020, the project has been remaining stalled for the past five months
EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE @Kannur

THE construction of the Kannur corporation's new headquarters has come to an abrupt halt owing to lack of funds from the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB).

Initially launched in 2020 with a promise to complete the work in 18 months, the project has been remaining stalled for the past five months, leaving only the structural framework completed.

The project, undertaken by the government through KIIFB, now faces significant challenges as fund remains unavailable for pending work, including ceiling installations, cubicle setup, and interior finishing.
