OPPOSITION parties staged a protest against the delay in restoring water supply within the corporation limits. RSP activists blocked the national highway near the district collectorate on Tuesday morning. Shibu Baby John who led the protest accused the ruling party of turning a blind eye to the problems faced by the people.
"Ten days have passed since water supply has been disrupted. The district has three ministers. But nobody has taken the initiative to resolve the issue," said the RSP leader. He was later arrested and removed by the police.
