A recent survey has revealed that 139 members of the Koraga community in Dakshina Kannada district lack Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) accounts in banks, Dakshina Kannada zilla panchayat CEO Dr Anandh K has said.
The findings were part of a survey conducted during the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) scheme, which focuses on Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG) in the district.
