Come to Sangam for Russia-Ukraine peace deal
The New Indian Express Thiruvananthapuram|January 07, 2025
A solution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict may not have been found on the battlefield, but some hope a solution may present itself at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati at the serene Sangam in Prayagraj during the Mahakumbh.
NAMITA BAJPAI @ Lucknow

At least that is the belief that may be bringing a group of some holy men from the two warring countries all the way to Prayagraj, sources say.

The Mela commences the following Monday and ends on February 26, the day of Mahashivratri. Mela sources claim the seers will reside at the Juna Akhara camp being constructed at a reserved site. The foreigners will assemble there, offer oblations to the Lord, and "chant and meditate for peace," according to the sources.

Also present at the Mahakumbh will be Yogmata Mahamandaleshwar Keiko Aikawa, alias Swami Kaila Mata from Japan, who will lead foreign monks in prayers for world peace.

Understanding Menorrhagia

It's universal. It's monthly. Most of the time, it makes you feel like you may puke your guts out and on rare occasions, it calls for a truce. But unlike the white flag of truce, this visitor is blood red—quite literally. That time of the month, Code Red, menstruation, or simply, a period. While the age-old rulebook deems up to seven days as the 'normal' duration of Aunty Red's visit—with a flow that decreases by the day—there are some cases where the volume increases on a continuum. Has this ever happened to you, ladies? Well, you may have menorrhagia.
