In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, Chinabank said its board of directors approved a fundraising exercise of up to P100 billion in several tranches in the next three years.
The bank said the fundraising activity may be in the form of retail bonds or commercial papers or a combination.
"The proceeds shall be used to support the bank's strategic initiatives and expansion programs," it said.
From January to September 2024, the bank boosted its earnings by 13.5 percent to a record P18.4 billion, mainly due to sustained growth from its core businesses.
