During an interview on CNN, Trump's incoming border czar, Tom Homan, promised that mass deportation of illegal aliens will start on "day one" of the Trump administration, meaning immediately on Jan. 20, 2025.
According to Homan, "Day one - ICE officers across the country will be out on the streets," presumably to start rounding up illegal aliens for deportation/removal.
Homan emphasized that he is eager to start as soon as possible because there are so many "public safety threats" due to illegal immigration in the U.S.
The "priority" in terms of mass deportations would be public safety threats and national security threats, such as criminals, terrorists, gang members, those with prior removal orders and others who pose a threat to America's safety and security.
