Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan on Monday came out against the CPI-M-led LDF government in the state saying that it is weakening public institutions in the state by appointing unqualified and inefficient cadre members to top posts.

While referring to the reports of a letter purportedly sent by Thiruvananthapuram mayor Arya Rajendran to the CPI-M district secretary, Anavoor Nagappan seeking a ‘priority list’ of candidates from the party for contractual appointments in the Corporation, Governor Khan said that a CPI-M oligarchy prevails in Kerala.

"The letter which is being discussed in the media is not the first of its kind. Many such letters exist with people. They have become like an oligarchy in Kerala," Governor Khan told mediapersons in Kochi.
