'Gehlot, Pilot need not fight for chair, BJP will win Rajasthan'
The Statesman|April 16, 2023
Amidst signs of a renewed tussle between Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot and his former Deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot, Union home minister Amit Shah said on Saturday that they need not fight for the chief minister's chair anymore as the BJP would form the next government in Rajasthan.
'Gehlot, Pilot need not fight for chair, BJP will win Rajasthan'

Mr Shah predicted that the saffron party would win a 2/3rd majority in the assembly polls scheduled to take place around the month of December this year.

"People had voted the Congress government in power in the 2018 assembly polls in the state, but two persons have been fighting for power since then. Gehlotji does not want to step down, while Pilot wants to be CM," Mr Shah told a party booth workers rally at Bharatpur's college ground. "Bhaiya, you (Gehlot and Pilot) both are fighting unnecessarily because the BJP is going to form the new government in Rajasthan with two-third majority," he said.

He further rapped the Congress leaders: "Pilot ji aap kitana bhi kar lo, jor laga lo, aapka number nahi ayega. Aapka control jameen par jyada ho sakta hai, magar Gehlot ka contribution Congress ke khajane mein jyada hai (Pilot, your number will not come whatever you try, you can have mass hold on ground but Gehlot's contribution in the Congress treasury is much more than yours).
