The project, which was flagged off in 2017, was completed a month ago and was under trial since the last month, NBU officials said.
"High-speed and secure Internet access with a single sign-on (SSO) mechanism for authorization is now accessible for the entire university community in all the academic and administrative establishments, hostels, auditoriums as well as in the areas of significant footfall. On the other hand, for ensuring better security of the campus life, more than 250 CCTV cameras have been installed in all the strategic points of the campus," an official said.
"We are happy to roll out free Wi-Fi service in each corner of the academic, administrative zones and hostels for academic interest. Increased coverage and improved quality of CCTV will ensure conducive campus life with healthy academic atmosphere in the University," Prof Mishra said.
