Reacting to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP R Ramesh Bidhuri's remarks in the Lok Sabha, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MP Danish Ali on Friday said that the silence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the incident is "regrettable".
"It has been eight days but still, there is no sign of action. I have written a letter to the Prime Minister of the house, to which I belong. In my letter to the PM, I asked him to condemn the incident that took place in the 'Temple of Democracy'. But his silence is regrettable", Danish Ali said while speaking to ANI.
"On the success of the G20 summit, the whole country was with you. But what message will you give to the world after all the 'lynching' taking place in Bapu's (Mahatma Gandhi) country? Nothing can be more disrespectful than this incident to the decorum of the parliament", Ali added.
