BRITAIN'S Paralympians continued their gold rush on land and water yesterday.

So far, the team has racked up 47 surpassing the 41 in Tokyo in 2021 but falling short of the 64 at Rio five years earlier.

And GB will be aiming to build on their success in the final events today.

Last night wheelchair racer Hannah Cockroft won her ninth Paralympic gold as she led home a British one-two in the T34 800m final. A dominant Hannah finished ahead of team-mate Kare Adenegan, as she did in the 100m, to win her second title in Paris.

She has won gold in the 100m and 800m at every Paralympics since London 2012, and took 400m at Rio 2016.

Hannah, 31, who gets married in three weeks, hinted it would be her last games, saying: "Nine gold medals... that might be the last chance... hopefully go home, have an amazing wedding and a great life."

In wheelchair tennis, Alfie Hewett had to settle for silver after a three-set thriller.
