NETFLIX is planning to run a documentary about Lucy Letby set to feature experts who have questioned the case against her.
The broadcast would pile fresh pain on families of babies murdered and maimed by the neonatal nurse.
Sources say the global streaming giant is working with production company ITN to make the programme about the woman found guilty of murdering seven sick babies and trying to kill seven more in hospital.
The news comes days after experts urged the Government to delay the inquiry into the Letby case over concerns about evidence at her trial.
Those approached to take part in the TV documentary include outspoken statistician Richard Gill - who has called the conviction of Britain's worst mass baby murderer a major miscarriage of justice.
A source said: "This is sure to be hugely controversial, the show will be watched the world over.
"The people at the heart of this story are utterly devastated.
"Families of those involved in the case will desperately hope this programme treads extremely carefully.
"Letby has been through the legal system, convicted and imprisoned.
"There remains a hard core of commentators who insist she was not given a fair trial."
We can reveal an email apparently sent by producers has been distributed to a string of experts who believe the former nurse could be innocent.
