Xi to Sharif: Concerned about Chinese people's security in Pak

Beijing: President Xi Jinping on Wednesday expressed “deep concern” over the security of Chinese nationals in Pakistan working on the CPEC projects and sought “reliable and safe environment” for them during his talks with PM Shehbaz Sharif, who is here on his maiden visit.
Xi to Sharif: Concerned about Chinese people's security in Pak

Sharif, who arrived here on Tuesday on a two-day visit, met Xi and held wideranging talks during which they agreed to strengthen the all-weather friendship and the $60 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

“I am concerned about the security of Chinese people in Pakistan and hope that Pakistan will provide a reliable and safe environment for Chinese institutions and personnel,” Xi told Sharif, as per an official statement.
